Abstract:

The hematologic parameters of the most prevalent bovine breed in Mat area of 36 analyzed animals (bovine breeds: Jersey, Laramane, crossbreed animals from Jersey and Laramane) are very valuable to evaluate the progress of biological processes of these animals. The aim of this study was the assessment of hematological parameters of the most prevalent bovine breeds in Mat area. This study was performed using the hematological autoanalizer Drew 3-US-OP at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Little fluctuations resulted for measured values from normal hematologic values of red blood cell analysis (RBC–red blood cells, Hct–hematocrit, Hb–hemoglobin, MCV–mean corpuscular volume, MCH–mean corpuscular hemoglobin, MCHC–mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration, RDW–red blood cells distribution width), white blood cell analysis (WBC–white blood cells, Leucogram: LYM (%)–lymphocytes in percentage, MID (%)–monocytes in percentage, GRA (%)–Granulocytes in percentages) and platelets analysis (PLT–platelets, MPV–platelets distribution width). These light fluctuations owe some factors, where the most significant were: race, age and physiological state (normal, pregnancy, lactation). These conclusions are also supported by numerous literature sources related to studies on the factors influencing the bovine hematological parameters..
